What our students say about us
I was impressed by Miha’s mentorship. He isn’t only a helpful and generous design teacher but also an amazing person willing to share real-life insights with his students. At Wwworkshop I broadened my teamwork skills, which turned out to be very useful for my studies andmy future in general.

—Liza, 22
The best part of Wwworkshop was the chance to get insights about the profession from a design expert. Teamwork taught me new ways of approaching the problem by observing other peoples’ thought processes about the task at hand.

—Andraž, 25
Design Basics prepared me for the entrance exam at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. I got a chance to meet a lot of cool people and grow my circle of design friends.

—Hana, 20
At Design Basics I learned how to approach the design process, which used to be intuitional for me. Now I’m finally able to grapple with different project phases.

—Ana, 25
At Wwworkshop I worked through my fear of sharing my ideas and participating in the work process. I learned how to accept as well as provide constructive feedback on projects and saw how much that acknowledgment can improve the end result.

About this workshop
In this workshop, you will be guided through the process of making photographs of products. You will find out how to plan, prepare and execute a photoshoot beyond the dull white background images. Klemen will introduce you to relevant references and good practices from the field of contemporary still-life photography. Inspired and up to date, you will begin with your assignments. You will receive a project brief and a product to photograph, and in the next session, you will introduce your plan to the group. You will learn how to pitch and present your ideas, follow advice, implement ideas from other people, and help others with your suggestions.
After the first photoshoot, Klemen will help you select and edit your photographs and review them with the help of the group. Then, you will receive one more project brief to implement the newly acquired knowledge in another photoshoot. In the final review, you will discuss and evaluate your progress. The workshop will be topped off by including everyone's work in a group photobook!

This workshop is suitable for everyone - whether you are a beginner or a working professional wanting to boost your creativity. A professional camera is not mandatory. You can work with any digital photo camera.

About this workshop
Typography is one of the crucial foundational elements of visual communication, yet very few designers learn how to do it right. No matter how good your design is, bad typographic choices can ruin it.

This workshop focuses on essential typography principles and expanding your knowledge about the newest trends in the world of typography. You’ll get to know the basics like layout typesetting in InDesign and classic type design, as well as experimental typography like kinetic and animated fonts.

We’ll take a look at the newest contemporary typography practices such as variable fonts and web typography and discover how type can be used to address social or political issues.
Over the course of seven weeks, you’ll be exploring through showcases and practical assignments, using professional type design software. You’ll be working with an expert from the field who will guide you through the process and provide first-hand tips & tricks.

The outcome will be six typography projects to season your portfolio and a final project where you’ll be tasked to create a visual identity with custom typography.

To participate in this workshop, you need to be familiar with basic design principles. It’s also suitable for experienced designers who want to refresh their typography skills.
